Default Spring/Struts/Camber Install Prices

Hey all.

So I have STech springs, figuring out what struts to get since I have 70k on the OEM (2003 suspension ftl). I am wondering what to expect in terms of labor for the install + alignment. There aren't many shops within an hour of me, but the few I have called are saying $500-600 w/ alignment. I am thinking 4-5 hours of labor is a little excessive? Anyone have a better idea?

I would DIY, but I don't trust myself with suspension. I've done brakes and simple exhaust intalls, but nothing suspension, and I need a spring compressor for this install, which of course I don't have.

What have you paid, or how long did it take to DIY and whats your experience? We have tons of "how much labor?!?" in the FI/Engine&Tuning sections, but pretty much nothing here lol.

^^ Thinking about it. Have someone that will help too. I don't really trust myself, only done brakes and exhaust, but I might in order to save that much money.

Got it done today!! Will have to post pics once it settles in and its light out haha.

To anyone wondering -- I've never done springs/struts on a car before, and it is definitely a DIY project if you have the time. We didn't have air tools and since my car is '03 with 70k miles, we had a few pesky bolts. All and all it went well -- torqued everything into spec, really took our time. We also messed up doing the left front (in terms of ordering of reinstalling, etc) so that prob took over an hour, but the other side was far simpler when we knew the tricks. It definitely took us awhile, but again we were going slow and being meticulous.

Ouch haha. I can't imagine trying to do it without haha. $45 at AutoZone, bring them back and you get your full refund.
