familiar with Z/G suspension? I have a "set back" alignment issue!
Does anybody have a "set back" alignment issue?? My front passenger wheel seems to be shifted more towards the front which is making my aftermarket wheels rub. I found this out after I put the wheels on awhile back. This isn't adjustable either. My driver's side doesn't have this issue and is even distance on both sides
Here's what set back is http://www.familycar.com/Alignment.htm#Set%20Back
instead my passenger side is actually "set-foward" WTF??
I have tein basics, 350evo arms, and 350evo sways..and the car has never been in any accident or hot any huge pot holes.
dealership won't even look at it and i really need this resolved. thanks!!
update:
I found out it's the C R A P P Y compression rod!! i'm so pissed.
So I took out the compression rod and brought it to a dealer to compare to a new one. My compression rod's angle is COMPLETELY off. That's the same rod the dealership changed for the TSB drifting to the right issue.

jeff92se was right..

cool. How much are u out by? ie: When u measure from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel on the left compared to the right?
PS: U may find it easier and more accurate if you measure from the outside of the rim on the front to the outside of the rim on the rear.

Half an inch(12.6mm) is quite a bit. Normally from memory under 5mm is accepted. If you have that much difference then something has to be out of whack. Mine was out about 5mm which also affected the caster and the dealer would not accept responsibility as it was within specs (Mine came from factory like this). I fixed mine by moving the sub frame the correct way to adjust it and now my specs are within 1mm.
Yours seems way off and would suggest that some accurate measurements be taken from underneath. More in the terms that the sub frame is square with the car etc.
My other suggestions is to put all the OEM parts back on and take it to the dealer and demand that it be fixed. They probably won’t touch it with the mods and blame the mods for the misalignment. At least this way u will know that the mods are not causing an issue.

okay..first off its not called "set back" its called CASTER.. and second off its probably an arm. im sure if you take it to the dealership or a decent alignment shop they could fix it.

the compression rod costs 160 bucks. My warranty just ended a couple weeks ago so i'm not even going to bother to fight with infiniti. $160 dollars isn't worth several hours of my time and headache. If it was much more expensive like a transmission, i would.
come to think of it, I bet they did bend the rod to "fix" my drifting issue.
