Default Recommend any good performance, non-squeaky brake pads please

I got some new rotors/pads a month ago and they work fine, but the front pads squeal every single time i'm coming to a stop that isn't really gentle and light on the pedal. It's annoying...

I'm willing to get some new front pads but want to maintain pretty decent performance. I don't mind the "shhhhhhhh"ing sound some pads make so if you guys can recommend some pads based on your experience.

I do occasional mountain runs, auto-x, and regular street driving. I don't want to spend a load of money though because I plan on upgrading to a BBK at some time.

Thanks in advance...

I keep getting blessed!!! I installed some Raybestos in my 'O4 Touring Coupe,
'bout 2 weeks ago...As it turns out, they emit a shrieking sound ONLY WHEN I'M BACKING UP!!! The Raybestos double as a back up alarm system!!! HAA!!!
BTW, NO black dust on the wheels, SO FAR, either!

+1 to this. Just installed mine today. I have no squeeling and I didn't on the other set of Hawk HPS either.

OP did you follow the proper break-in for the pads after you installed?

Thanks for the replies guys... Are the Hawk HPS pads semi-met or what? The ones I have now are ceramic, I dunno if those squeal normally or not.

Yes I did follow the break-in for the pads. It's weird though I think only the fronts are doing it, and its the same brand/type pads on the front and back.

What pads did you get? You might want to match front/rear pads depending on what you have now.
