Post sway bar installation question
Hey All,
I just finished installing hotchkiss sway bars. While installing the rear bar, I had to remove two plastic covers, a left one and a right one. Each was held on by three 10mm bolts. In removing them, I sheard off 2 bolts on each of them (four total). I could probably remove the old bolts and put in new ones, but it doesnt seem worth while. It doesnt seem like the plastic covers are doing much, either aerodynamically, or in protecting from water. Most everything back there isnt covered anyways, and these don't seem to be very critical, my father in law actually thought it better to leave them off, and I tend to agree. I just wanted to get other opinions, thanks!!
As a side not, I really love the way the car feels with the new bars!

Thanks for the reply. My front bar has four settings, right now it is set on the third stiffest settings, or said another way, it is set to the second least stiff setting. The rear bar is set to middle hole. It feels good, espescially relative to the stock bars. Thanks again for your reply, any other opinions would great!

I have the same bars and started off with the same settings as you. Earlier today I switched the rear to the stiffest setting and I like the original setup much better. Tomorrow morning I'm going to switch it back to the mid in the rear. The car just doesn't feel right fully stiff at the back and second softest at the front. Just fyi.
