Default Springs

I was thinking of getting Eibach springs but i really dont want to lower my car any more than it already is. But i have heard that they can help out ride quality (making the ride less bumpy). So i was wondering is there any other springs out there that will make the ride quality smoother but now lower the car?

Also if i do decide to get the Eibach springs does anyone know a place around Raleigh or Fayetteville North Carolina that could install them? (a place i could trust i mean).

Thanks

No, their aren't any. The eibachs use progressive springs with their softer initial spring rates to combat the Z struts aggressive compression dampening. Either accept the lowering that the eibachs do(and I don't fault you for not wanting to lower the car) or wait for Koni to market their Sport struts, which have been engineered to offer less compression dampening to help with the ride quality issue's. The R&D on the Koni's is finished, just waiting for the design to be manufactured, that would be this fall. I'm getting the Koni's as soon as they come out, I personely don't like progressive springs on a sporting car.

Mike, you didn't read what he's asking for. He's got a typo in the last sentance, not vs "now".

What he's asking for, doesn't exist at this time. A progressive lowering spring that does NOT lower the car. And a coilover with tender springs isn't the going to be like a progressive spring.

BTW, you need to update your list. The Bilsteins are of course oem JDM parts, not a off the shelf item that you can order from Bilstein. com.

I haven't decided whether I'm doing coilovers or just springs but...

You might consider RS*R springs. They only lower the vehicle about half an inch. And RS*R has alot of research into the Z.

I've talked w/Vogtland USA several times, most recently last week. They tell me that they don't expect anything for the Z for at least another few more months. Thats also what they told me in March, April, May...... Funny that they use a Z in their print ads.
