I never understood the Nismo sway bars because of the differences in stiffness from stock. it's one of the only ones that LOWERS the stiffness, I think in the rear. and afaik they are unadjustable, and expensive.

I would personally go with the Hotchkis sways since they are 4 way adjustable, lighter and cheaper. and everyone who has them loves them.

i got this from nismoparts.com
it states that 350z w/o VDC?
does it mean that Z`s or G`s with VDC are not compilable with this setup?

OP: The site probably got it wrong. Swaybars made for the 350z should fit regardless of whether it has VDC or not.

To my knowledge, the fitment of swaybars have very little to do with VDC.

No. Remember the description with NISMO wheels. It said "no VDC." Which of course is nonsensical. We figure Nissan had not tested the wheels with VDC, so to avoid any issues, the description cautioned about VDC. Think about it:

a. NISMO sway bars replace the OEM sway bars. There are no VDC components in the way of either.

b. What about after market sway bars? They all work with VDC. Its just a piece of metal pipe.

Agree. VDC is a complicated computer, but I fail to see how it can possibly recognise sway bars. If fact if you drive the car without sway bars it will surely run.

I did that while waiting for an endlink to show up at the dealer, one week with no front bar and VDC didnt care at all.

With that being said, VDC can be affected. Sways bar adjustment is basically taking or adding traction to a set of wheels. Full stiff in the rear the rear of the car will break loose easily. VDC won't flip , but it can come on more often that it used to under normal driving.
