I had no problems by installing them as shown on their webpage. The rubber ring goes on the top and the adjustable purch on the bottom.

No noise, no loosness...

I am going to attempt to install my JIC's this weekend. Can anyone give me a step by step process to install these? Also the tools needed. Thanks a million.

i think there might be some confusion regaurding the linear and progress diameters. Does anyone have a definate measurement. Linear springs mount on bottom progressive on top.

sorry to bring this back but installed the rear suspension with perches on bottom and moddified the top cone rubber mount to accept the spring. ive had no rattles from this BUT what does rattle is the actual shock when i go over bumps and its really hoppy in back. basically the top of the shock mount rattles around is there a fix for this or am i going to have to live with it. also where are these directions for JIC's that would help a lot maybe i missed a bushing or something. thanks

figured problem out, now i have no rattling at all smooth as hell and it handles noticeably different with full jic's and camber arms and traction rods. awesome, very time consuming install but worth it.

The pillow-ball mounts will rattle, and there's nothing you can do to remedy it. Have fun with these POS'. Oh, and hope yours don't start leaking soon... LOL

just got mine back, had both fronts revalved because of some serious leaking. As far as install of rear the guy form jic said progressive springs=perch on top, linear= perch on bottom. And if the rattling happens at low speed only its the pillow ball mounts. When you take your wheel of grab the shock body you'll feel a slight movement. That's just the design some people have had the top bolt tightened were the dampening adj is but, I could'nt get it any tighter at all.

Did they revalve your dampers on warranty without any question? I would hope it was free of charge since JIC dampers have such a documented history of prematurely leaking...

wth?

jak's purple springs are FATTER than mine

my stock cone rubber piece is much fatter than my purple spring

With the perch at the top no rattles, easier to adjust, and fits and sits the way Nissan engineers designed it to.

Here is a picture of the JIC spring with the stock rubber boot attached:
