Question Brake Pads! Recommendations?

Well, after 13,500 miles my brake pads aren't happy. They're starting to rumble; I actually hoped they'd last longer.

Anyway, anyone have some recommendations?

I'm concerned with performance and durability (more the first one) than cost; pads aren't that pricey anywa.

Thanks!

I ordered a set of custom Endless brake pads recently for my track (brembos). I hope to have them shortly and i can tell you how much better they are than stock, and if its really worth the $400.

Unless you have done a lot of track days, the pads should have plenty of wear left. There probably are many reasons that might cause brakes to start 'rumbling'. I'd check the pads and look at the rotors. see if anything is loose or rubbing.

Even if you've never seen a disk brake up close, you will learn enough to know whether the service dept is right in diagnosing the problem. Probably under warrantee if anything is wrong.

I changed to Porterfield 4RS at 12,500 miles. Old pads had plenty of wear left. I took a lot of care in seating the pads according to their directions. I really like the new pads. They do produce dust but I think that they have more initial bite and didn't fade at all during a track day (110 temp).

I took the wheel off yesterday evening; the driver's side pad has a crack in it.

Piece'o' crap.

I think I'm going to order the EBC Greens. I got a buddy with those on a Supra and he said he loves'em.

I replaced all of my pads with carbotech bobcats. They are more money then the previously mentioned pads but are well worth it. They stop great and have very litle dust.. I can get them also if you want, just pm or email me...
