I'm getting Tanabe GF210 or eibach sportline Springs with Tokico hp(blue).

the shocks are only $250, so in my opinion, it is really cheap to replace for OEM. However, is it worth?

Moreover, I want same or little bit stiffer spring rate than stock 06+, but my choices(tanabe or eibach) are softer than 06 spring rate...

What would be good combination w/ tokico shocks?
Also, does Tokico hp blue and D-spec different in perfomance wise?
OR should I just grab a used set of buddy club for $800?

 

I wanna know the same thing. I've been wondering the same thing HP vs Blue. I have Sportlines just haven't installed them just.

i DIY installed Tokico D-spec since 04 to get rid of that stock suspension bounce. D-spec is designed to work well with the OEM springs. Never had any issues at all with those fully adjustable Tokicos.

 

it is so funny! after spending the entire f****ing day today reading articles, reviews and member's set ups I decided to go with Tokiko D-spec and GF210. My only concern now is the SPC Rear Camber Arms; some say it is not needed and some say it is a must because of the 1.2 drop. I read Zs vary and it is determined whether you need these or not until you get alignment. If anyone with this same set up is reading can you tell me your experience?

 

i have the d-spec kit that have a 1.25" drop and i did not need the camber arms/toe bolts.

i do not run factory alignment settings, but i am able to achieve them if i were so inclined to ruin my handling

 

Does anyone know if they are different in performance wise except damping adjustability?

 

Even if I get D-spec, I will turn the damping setup to top(more stiffness). So I would rather save some money(hp is $220 cheaper than d-spec) for daming control....

So... are HP and D-spec are really different?
