yes, get an alignment, only after you get the rear camber kit...since the stock camber does not have enough adjustment to get it back close to factory setting. If you get the LSDUnique camber kit, it will let you dial back to -1.9deg on the rear..

Most likely you will need it unless you want to run a high degree of negative camber. I installed the adjustable camber rods but once the camber was adjusted they couldn't get the toe angle correct. I just installed the traction rods last night and will re-align on Thursday. You should get the complete set so you don't have to keep getting alignments.

Here's the thread for the LSD kit. Very nice quality and for half the price of JIC's.

How long can I drive without an alignment or the camber kits before problems start

That's hard to say. Depends on your driving habits. No more then a couple hundred without an alignment IMO. Some people have put on Eibachs and not put kits in and claim no noticable wear after 7k miles.

Toe angle is more critical then camber in respect to increased/faster tire wear.

you only put on eibachs and you think you need new camber kit? i would drive a for a few weeks on them...then get an allignment (well, depends on how many miles you drive a week). but, let them settle in...then get an allignment. i bet they will still be in the correct specs. especailly since they are eibach. i got the sprint springs...drops all 4 corners 1.8 inches. i drove until they were settled...then i went to get an allignment. yup...all 4 wheels still in the green. all 4 wheels were still within the right specs. only thing....once tire had a caster that was off by 0.1 out of the correct specs. so, i wouldn't bother with the camber kit. unless, for some reason, i'm the only one who has springs that don't get my car out of whack!

DJKERN:

You must be one of the lucky ones then. My rear camber was more then -1.0 deg. past maximum. The toe was adjustable to spec but once I fixed the camber the toe went out past maximum adjustment. Then there's the non-adjustable front neg. camber.

Who did you're alignment?

i took it in to the sears auto shop. i told them i wanted to go in and watch them do the allignment...so, they gave the the stupid goggles (that i didin't wear of course! haha)...and i watched him do it.

they put it up on the lift...put the electronic sensors on the rims...ran all the numbers...printed out the sheet...all was green...but that one caster was 0.1 out of the recommended degrees...and i went to pay for it. they said i didn't have to pay for anything since they didn't change anything.

i did that after i drove it for a while. i wonder if anything is different now that i have put on a few thousand since i installed them??? you think i should go have it alligned again and see if it changed? i thought they were pretty much settled...i gave them a good amount of time to "adjust"...but, it would have settled more.

I was curious about who did the alignment wondering if they even had the right specs. It sounds like you let the springs settle enough before having the alignment done. I doubt if you need to do it again unless you start to see uneven wear. I just find it so hard to believe, and I'm not doubting you, that with that much drop your aren't running major negative numbers.

My drop was only 3/4"F, 5/8"R and it put it out as much as it did. Can each car's suspension be that much different?

My dealer is doing mine. Luckily they are mod friendly and have done this twice both under warranty. Hope this 3rd time gets it right.

Let's just say they are north of SF. The manager treats me right but I really don't want to get him in trouble for the extras he does or to have others think then can get the same treatment.

Don't want to ruin a good thing

99% of the time you need to get an alignment anytime you change the ride height of any car.

i think you should get an allignment 100% of the time...but that doesn't mean they'll have to change anything. i just think you should check the specs 100% of the time if you change anything...especially height.
