Does anyone know of a good online source for non-Brembo brake pad shims?

Default Does anyone know of a good online source for non-Brembo brake pad shims?

I've pretty well demolished my stock (non-Brembo) brake pad shims over the course of several track days. The local Nissan dealer parts departments are quoting me $28 for a front brake hardware kit (shims and retaining clips,) and $43 for a rear brake hardware kit.

This seems to be a bit steep, so I’m curious if there is a cheaper online source for these. Does anyone know of one? Thanks!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about them for track days. I ended up just getting a new set of fronts for my everyday pads, but you don't need them on the track. They are going to make noise anyways.

The stock Nissan shims are designed to isolate the heat from the caliper as well as stopping noise. So yes you do want them in for the track.

The shims are two piece with the shim that touches the backside of the pad is made of a non heat conduting material, then the shim that touches the pistion or caliper is made of stainless.

We don't have them online yet and we'd have to special order them. If you are interested, please call 800.527.1909 and refer to quote number Q90296. These are OEM Nissan.

Why did you do a chargeback on your purchase of the Kumho Ecsta's and Track Rays from myself on your Visa card and report it as fraudulant activity? Why are you ignoring my PM's about this serious situation? Does Courtesy Parts know of this type of unethical activity??? You need to take care of business instead of ignore my PM's like you have the last 2 days with no response.
