Default Will brembo calipers bolt up on a non brembo equipped Z?

I was just curious to know if oem 350z brembo calipers will bolt up to a Z not equipped with oem brembos? Im only asking about the caliper, not the brak lines, MC, BB, rotors or anything. My buddy has an s14 and slapped sti oem brembos on his stock rotors. All he had to do was make a custom bracket to hold the caliper. Is anything like this possible with the Z?

I wouldn't say it is impossible, in the "Cars for sale" section there is a black base model turbo'd Z with Brembo's. If I come across it again i'll post a link here.

Anyways looks like the question has been answered. The hubs casings/steering knuckles must all be the same. On top of the stuff mentioned above you probably need caliper brackets aswell. The brembo rotors are larger and wider then the regular brakes.

While I appreciate your willingness to help, sometimes one has to just be blunt. Obviously the Brembo caliper and the OEM caliper are different as are the rotors. If they were just "plug and play" as it were, why have Brembos?

By the same token one can add a big break kit, Brembo or not.

(BTW, a "skinned door" will also fit.)

Yes you can do it, but you gona have to order the rear bolt for the brembo calipers b/c they are diff than the non brembos. For the front you can use the same bolts. all in all it will work

Default Brembo Brake Kit

Taken from website after quick google "brembo brake kit 350z"

http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templa...537&SearchYN=N

Brembo 13.1'' Big Brake Kit for 2003+ 350Z
Part # Br 1B1.7013A

This kit is the same thing the pros use and is great for the street and track. This kit includes four-piston Ferrari F40 calipers and pads for the front, cross drilled and slotted 13.1 inch front discs, stainless steel braided brake lines, and hats and brackets made specifically for the 350Z. This kit will decrease your stopping distance by up to 35%!

For super-sized pictures of the actual kit with different caliper colors click here.

Please note that 17" wheels are required for you to be able to fit these rotors & calipers underneath your 350Z Please note that on this kit the rotors a cross-drilled AND slotted. Brembo does not offer these in cross-drilled only or slotted only. They are available only as pictured here.

This 2-piece system rotor system weighs in at about half what your stock rotors do, so all you road racers will appreciate this kit for the ~40 pounds it takes off your car. Billet aluminum hats are application specific and have been individually machined to engineering specifications. The copyrighted Brembo design of the rotors & calipers creates what they call a ''floating disc'' which reduces heat related stress and tremendously improves brake performance and pedal feel.

Look at it this way: NASCAR, Indy F1, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, & Nissan can't all be wrong!

The calipers are available in red, silver, & black. Please click on More Info to choose your caliper color.

MSRP $3,495.00 Your Price $3,145.50

There's more after this, but this is the first thing they have that are Brembos.

no no no! It may be feasible......but it would be retarded.

Youre trying to take a caliper and pad selection meant for a larger rotor and throw it on the oem CD sized rotors.
