Default A Brake Question

Hey guys just curious I have to upgrade my pads and brake lines and my question is what combo of brands or brand would be the best for the cars stopping power?

At what temperature and speed?
Oem pads and rotors cannot be beat for SINGLE street braking distance tests especially the common 60-80 mph measured stops, same with any cold weather or rain braking.
Obviously race track use can exceed oem design temperatures after 3-4 stops from 100 mph.

Lots of claims that after market pads are “better” than OEM pads but little if any independent verification. Same applies to stainless steel brake lines where buyers can “feel” a difference. Again no independent validation that steel brake lines do anything.

Want shorter stopping distance? Get better front tires.

As mentioned by q45tech, if you can explain what kind of driving situation are you trying to improve you should get more accurate suggestions? It makes a huge difference (the heat range you want the performance in). If the car will be tracked, some pads will literally start breaking apart from the heat, but the pads that can take the heat, may not work as well until they are hot, may make more noise, dust and have a shorter life time. I am not an expert with braking equipment, but I am learning... this is a set of stock pads after 1 track day, (4 or 5) 30 minute sessions. They were literally falling apart, of course my braking was very poor by the end of the day.
