Default BBK on Stock Wheels

I scanned through a couple of threads below asking to post up your big brake kit pictures but failed to fine what I was looking for..

Does anyone have a BBK with 07-08 factory 35th ann. wheels? I would like to see some pictures if yall got em'.. I have a silver 08' 350z and am debating which color to get the brakes, I'm looking at Wilwood, possibly black calipers.

35th anniversary on an '07 - '08? Kinda difficult. 35th was '05. I'm guessing you mean just the standard '07-'08?

You want to see how the brakes will look behind your wheels ??? Just picture a BBK in whatever color behind your wheels.

Personally i would spend the money on something else, your brakes are enough for the track till your on wide R comps.

You think? I figured I might as well get big brakes now before I make my car faster.. it's a cheaper mod then my ultimate goal which is FI..

There are more pics in my galery. I have Baer 6s Calipers with 14'' 2 piece rotors all the way around. I have had no fitment issues with stock wheels, I also had stock 03 18's with no problem.

Whats funny is I have had more problems finding aftermarket wheels that fit.

Once again, why do you need a BBK? Unless you track your car , you really don't need a BBK.

Baer 6 piston, 14" rotors front and rear, no clearance issues what so ever.

Damn bbk's so fk'n hot. BeejZ was it necessary for you to run the spacer for it to fit? Look like if you didn't caliper would hit.

uh, not they're not. i had brake fade on my stock 07 (down to the tires) with new project mu bforce pads and fresh motul fluid on my first track day. it wasn't bad, but it was there. and this was more like a really big autox than a full out track day.

Did not need to run spacers. I just put the spacers on for looks. The pictures above do not have spacers. I ran both my stock 03 wheels and these wheels with no problem.

I don't know the tracks that you run. But the stock non brembo brakes get eaten alive at the track. and with the rubber lines. Don't hate on the guy because he is doing the right thing and not builting a FI kit before his car can STOP when it needs to. Best way to build a car is from the ground up. And he will never have to worry about braking issues. I ordered the same Baer Kit and I cant wait. But I will have 15 inch rotors on the front. Props to you for making your car beable to stop before it goes.

^ I wish somebody was builting my turbo kit.

Terra's driven more laps than 3/4's the people on this forum. The stock brakes really aren't that bad. Mine were fine during my first HPDE.

If you've got the money, then you could do wheels and tires at the same time and not have to poor boy it. If you don't, then there other upgrades that would be more beneficial first.

Brakes line make a hardly noticable difference on the track, and rubber lines are great till they have been on the track multiple times and see a lot of heat. The OP also has a later model car, the later model car has much better brakes than the 03 to 05 non-brembo cars. Last thing, FI or NA, a BBK will do nothing for anyone for normal street driving. Very pointless on an FI built that will never do anything than maybe a 1/4 mile pass or some street ricing.

Maybe its just me but I dont know anyone that does "normal " street driving in a Z. And And BBK is very needed if you go FI. You need to stop fast when your able to do 130 in a heartbeat. I have had many friend boost there cars then that one time thye need to stop from 130 + and the brakes fade. There is always been a wall there and you never want the wall to be your braking system.
