Tein Basic Coilovers: A few questions...
Hey all,
I am currently running Tein S-Tech springs with with "springmount" mod. My car has a decent drop, but I am now looking at picking up a set of coilovers from a friend of mine who is upgrading his system. I have a few questions. First, does anyone have the installation manual (or have a link) for the Tein Basics? I searched up and down but couldn't find anything. I am also wondering if I am going to have to use my factory spring mount (rear upper, looks like a cone) when installing these coilovers. If so, would you recommend replacing them (remember, mine are cut) with the factory spec ones?
Also, if you can point me to a thread with some install pics with tires off, that would be cool too. I am wondering how a Z will look with 19" wheels with the maximum drop that these can handle. I found several pictures, but nothing that specifies how much of a drop they were using. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

EDIT: I found the manual here: http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...s/350basic.pdf
Now that my questions have been answered, I am wondering how the basics look slammed with 19" wheels, preferably some Volk SF-Challenges (that is what I am running). If anyone has that setup, could you post a pic?

the fact of the matter is the basics don't do "slammed" - especially out back
http://www.tein.com/price/nissan.html
max drop out back according to Tein is 1.1 inches on a coupe, .7 on a convertible

I adjusted Canadians car after it was lowered all the way on basics, it was low enought to drag the underside everywhere. For some off reason if you want it lower, spring can be ordered (about $100) directly from Tein
I understand that the basics won't "slam" the car. I am really just looking for a picture of a Z that is dropped all the way with 19" wheels so I can get an idea of how it compares to what I have now.
there are literally thousands of pictures of people's Z's with 19's from every conceivable ride height imaginable posted all throughout the site
pics with tires off I am sure are posted too - looks like every other coilover out there with a separate rear spring/damper, as well as the stock suspension
