OE brakes and $1000 for the Brembos would be a ballpark. No Idea what a mechanic would charge I did mine myself it shouldnt take more than 4-5hrs to swap and bleed the brakes.

 

$1000 seems high.

 

ive seen used oe brembos go for $800-$900 so $1000 is kinda high

 

But on the other hand I have seen just front calipers go for 800-900.

I've been looking around for the swap myself (to maybe upgrade my touring oem to brembo), and converting to US$ from AUS$ (and we get shafted usually) ballpark seems to be from 650-700 for well travelled + trade in, to 1300-1400 for the kit in good conditions without a trade in.
This is for 2003-2005 though, 2006 kits I would expect the trade-in to be worth a little more tbh.
I agree 1000 might be a bit high.
