Hey guys, I read a little about this in various threads but still don't understand fully. I tried searching for "spring mount mod" and couldn't come up with anything either, but if there is a thead and I'm just blind, then maybe post a link to it for me.

Well anyways, I'm reading some people's posts about cutting the spring mount to make the car lower? Is this a ghetto mod that ruins the car/makes it unsafe/handle crappy, or a real thing that a lot of people do? I ask because I know the C6 Corvette people have a legit mod where they replace a couple bolts in the suspension and it safely lowers the car a good amount without any other work or parts needed.

I'm not saying that I'm looking into doing/not doing this to my car, just curious as to what people are talking about since I couldn't find anything when searching. Thanks.
