SPC front kit install question
There's no real brand I guess. Any serious automotive or heavy machinery supply store should have shim sheets in various thicknesses. Get the thinnest shim you can so you have more control over spacing.
And by the way, after you install the shims and put it back together, you'll have to drive for about a minute before the lights go out so don't assume the gap isn't right until after a couple minutes of driving around.
Wow more work than I expected. I couldn't even get the alignment done yet and this is my daily driver to work. I guess I'll look into this in the morning and try the shims first since I have nothing else. Thanks for your advice.
If you didn't install the spacers which require the hub to come off and change geometry then I don't think you needed to use the abs sensor bracket meaning the gap should be fine. If you installed the tapered metal spacer to give yourself more positive camber adjustment then you've changed how the hub and sensor sit in relation to each other.
Oh ok. Yea I didn't install any spacers but the abs keeps kicking on once in awhile when I was driving around after the install. However I did notice a lot if negative Camber and negative toe in one of the rear wheels. Would that cause the abs to kick in?
Also I'm on greddy coilovers if that makes any difference. Thanks

Lol that's what said earlier that I need an alignment haha so you don't think those shims are needed? Or can't tell once the alignment is done?
Nobody is open Sunday which sucks lol

My mistake I thought we were talking about shims for the Abs sensors which would throw those codes. I think you're talking about the shims for the actual alignment LOL. Disregard Ahaha.
Lol I'm confused haha. Let me recap...
Installed Greddy coilovers along with spc a arms and spl rear camber arms. The spc a arms I did not use the shim kit that came with arms because I'm only lowered 1". so I did not touch the abs sensor or removed the hub. I def need an alignment done since I have alot of neg camber in the front and neg toe on 1 of the rear wheels.
Since the install... I was driving around and a minute later the abs and vdc off light comes on and abs kicks in. Is this just an alignment issue? Or does the shim kit (metal brackets for hub and abs sensor need to be installed?
Ah typing on my iPhone is annoying lol. Thanks

My Z also has the ABS,VDC,Brake lights constantly on and I get the occasional noise all coming from the right side of the vehicle. It went off for a week and then came back on and this is after I got an alignment as well. I'm running SPC Front A-Arms and Tein Flex Coilovers. What size shim did you use for the ABS sensors and how far should the gap be between the sensor and the hub (Correct me if I'm wrong)?
