You know i've been told that many times due to cracking, but for the last 4 years i've had the Rotoras cross and slotted with no problem at all. And i drive it hard.

I think it is more geared to the low end rotors where they drill them after casting.

do you drive it hard on the track or hard on the street? cause its worlds of a difference. cross drilled rotor's crack with track use, its a fact of life. if you read the pca (prosche club of america) tech inspection sheet, it says something along the lines of "drilled rotor stress cracks to be minimal" (not exact words).

if your drilled rotor's don't have any cracks in them after 4 years of use (track or not) you're not driving hard. my sister's cracked (minimal stress cracks) drilled stoptech rotor's on here rsx in less than a year, and that car's never seen the track.

Yeah man i read you. But i do drive it hard. I've never tracked it, but i do street the hell out of it. Round here connections help out a lot. haha!

I run front and rear rotoras with hawk pads no probs. I wanted 2 piece and was going to go with the DBA's but they take to damn long.

i have a Brand New front set of Endless 2pc rotors if your interested. they are slotted only.

they retail for a bit more than stoptechs and girodisc's (Endless is $620 per rotor msrp), but if your interested they are sitting in a box in my garage.

yeah, no problem.

just in case, so you have an idea, my rotors are priced much lower than the msrp.

also, imho, unless you are running r compounds of higher, the stock brembos are fine. i tracked on my brembos with Endless pads and they worked great. pad combination and fluid goes a long way with these brakes.

DBA also does a two piece rotor that is extremely popular in the Evo track day world, a bit more spendy then some of the others but well worth it.

Until you get your rotors red, you aren't driving it hard. My stock brakes got that hot at a track day last summer. Drilled rotors are a nono on the track. The only place you can push them hard is on the track where you are doing hard braking from 100+ to 30-40 mphs all the time.

My caliper temp after 1 cool down lap was still 900 degrees per my infrared temp gauge. I don't remember what the rotors were at that time.

Depending on what type of track your driving on it depends on where you'll need to really use your brakes that much to get them red hot. I have yet to track any of my vehicles in the states, but i do track when i go to Greece, and the mountain passes are perfect for what i like to do over there street wise. Ideally i try to go in the straightest line poss not really using much braking street or track. Downshifting while and rather than braking entails a better grip of turning force anyway.

Personally i like Drilled as well as slotted, but any 2 piece will do. I've found the DBA's which i just purchased so i'll try those out for now. As of right now in the Z's life im just going for looks these days. Im slowly growing out of the Speed Racer in me.

DBA offers their 5000 series rotor in a cross drilled/slotted combo. I've used the slotted only on my own car, with a wide variety of pads, from mild street to full track, and never had any issues with them. The rotor hats are offered in red, gold, black and blue
