Default brakes dragging

so i have stock brakes. i installed new slotted stoptech rotors and hps pads. left side everything was fine off and on. the right side i could not get the caliper over the pads after compressing the piston. no shims just whats on the pads. so after trying and trying i finally get the 2 bolts in and i head out to bed them in well the right front starts smoking like crazy. the claper feels like it wont release on the right side i cant spin the wheel at all and im not sure why it wasnt fitting properly i just thought maybe i didnt compress the piston enough and once it was on i figured it would self adjust but no it didnt and now i think i ruined my new pads and rotor. any ideas of why it was ok before the change and now its not?

Sometimes the pads need to be properly spaced in regards to the rotor. I had a similar lockup until I took the wheels off an slipped a washer on each caliper bracket bolt spacing the pad on the proper side.

Aftermarket stuff never just bolts up right...its always a little off. In my case - I was the 1rst to have these brakes in the U.S. so a little R&D was nec. no pics unfort.
