BUDGET Coilover set up or Shock/spring setup
Just bought a 07 350z, and looking to lower it.
I am wondering if there is a nice coilover set up for 700 to 900?
When I say nice, I mean a set that would improve handling a bit, not just drop me and make the car handle worst than stock.
Or should I just go for shock/springs? I was looking into the EIBACH SPORTLINE for the 1.2 drop. Any other springs that drop something similar and that perform better? and what shocks would you pair them with?
Thanks

Ok, so after doing a little research buying a set of good shocks and springs runs around 750 bucks, so might as well spend 250 more for a set of coilovers.
So, like the topic says, what are the best options for coilovers for $1000 or Less.

Yes, you are right,
I was in doubt about springs/shock combo or coilover. Now I have decided on going with coilovers.
This one is just more focus on coilovers that are $1000 or less.

i had basics, they were crappy as hell.
here is the thing, everyone thinks what they are running is nice. you can't really get good opinions on coilovers unless you ride in them. take a chance .

Br series i believe , mine are not the new remote res versions. 20k miles on mine so far, nice drop if needed, ride is OK , not to much stiffer but noticable. I beat the hell out of mine on the track , so far so good.
What else do you want to know?

Also what is the price and were did you bought them.
Thanks
I am in the same boat as you...looking to upgrade my suspension. I actually made a post in the Mid A section as I was also looking at BC Racing coilovers as a lot of people have them and seem to rave about them.
An excellent point was made to me that for a couple hundred bucks more you may be able to get a better setup. Are you looking to lower your car solely for looks? Handling? Both? You may want to establish what you are looking to gain by this purchase and then ride in some locals cars if they could help you out.
My car is my daily driver so I personally am looking for the best of both worlds... I want the car to handle better then stock and look good. Eventually it will see some minor track/AutoX duty as well. My previous ride was a Honda that was lowered on a cheap setup. I bring this up because you get what you pay for. This time around in the Z I told myself that I would do it right. I initially set a goal of $1000 but a fellow member pointed out that for a few hundred bucks more I could get something better then BC racing coilovers.
I have narrowed my search down to Bilstein PSS10 or Stance setups ($1600 range). This is more expensive then what I initially intended to spend but this is my daily driver.

They can be had for around $1k , some cheaper , some more. Search the venders for the best price right now. I have a 20mm drop and i believe they max at about 40mm in the rear.
