Default Coilover Question

I recently installed Stance GR+ Pro coilovers. The car is lowered 1.5" Other mods are hotchkis sways and front and rear camber arms. Stock 17" wheels and tires.

I am new to coilovers and not sure how to set them up properly...When driving, the front wheels will occasionally rub(directly above the tire) on the inner fender plastics...but this only happens on a very harsh bump or dip in the road that cant be avoided...or when cornering hard...

I am guessing that the springs need to be tightened more? The car is really not that low enough that it should rub...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance

Remove preload on the spring and extend the strut. Or raise your car up from lowrider status.

Wouldn't removing preload on the spring make it softer? My car is not low at all 1.5 is an estimate...its roughly the same height as when I had sportlines...

Preload should not be used for height adjustment, shock body length should be. My car runs less than 5mm of preload , the rest is done with shock body adjustment.

Im not sure I understand what you are saying...i set the height seperately from the spring tension...then on the adjustment for the spring I tightened it 6 full rotations after the ring came in contact with the spring...so its about half an inch of preload I guess? since theres about 12 threads per inch on the coilover...

What do you mean by the shock body? are you talking about the rings that do not alter the ride height(that are in contact with the spring)?

Thanks btw

then maybe you should have just left the sportlines on the car and forgot about putting coils on the car

Its true coilover...I chose coilovers to have more adjustability over the stock shocks...
