Default 05 GT w/Brembo Brakes? Pricing!

I own the GT Roadster with the Brembos. I am hearing some pretty scary pricing when it comes time to change them. I "hear" that the brakes and rotors get replaced together and may cost anywhere from $3000 - $4000.

I can't see that being true but I heard it from the techs at the dealership....

What are the prices?

I'll give you an example as I have Brembos:

Front and Rear Hawk HPS Pads: $180 average
Front and Rear Stoptech slotted rotors: $420 average

Thats what you would be looking at for pads and rotors. I'm not sure if you comfortable with performing things yourself, but brakes are not a hard that hard to work on.

Taken from another thread. Gives you a idea on pricing.

http://www.ctbrakes.com/pads/nissan.html

Pads for Brembo Calipers: Front, 147$ Rear, 120$

Rotors can't be that expensive. That's if they need to be replaced at all!

Seems to me it would be cheaper to get an aftermarket replacement. I would still just keep it w/the brembos but MAN!
