Default Need Help Again...

So I was driving back from work earlier today and in 4th gear my car starts to this squeaking/whinning sound when I used the brakes. I though it was nothing at first until I down shifted and slowed it and it kepted doing it. When I got home I checked it out but found nothing and so I told my dad to sit in the car with me when I drove it again, but only this time it didn't make any sound when I used the brakes. It drove like normal. When I drove it the 2nd time with my dad in it the car was cooled down also for about 15-20min. I asked my friend n he said it sounds like my brake pads need to be changed. What do you guys think it is from experience? Do my brake pads and rotors need to be changed??? I have about 27,100 miles on the car and bought it from a dealership at 24,800 about 7 months ago. No mods have been done expect for a exhaust system and sway bar. Help me Please...

+1 to that, threads can be closed because of wrong or misleading titles. Thats why our search function sucks. Anyway, take your wheels off and inspect the brakes.
