it squeeks over bumps going slow..

it squeek when i brake and release...

driving me insane!!!

what could it be? all suspension is OEM

sway bar bushingins possible? i sprayed some silicone spray over all the bushings but still exists..


any help? adivce?

brakes were checked out like 3k miles ago.

if your guys are reffering to the brake squeel its a little different from that.

 

the sways can't be greased by just being sprayed

 

i guess thats my problem then? have to take them out?

Could be the end links on the sway bars

 

I had the exact same problem but it went away on it's own a few months ago. I'm pretty sure it was the brakes and not any of the suspension components. At first I thought it was the sway bar bushings but when I changed from stock to hotchkis sways I greased the **** outta the bushings and it still did it just as bad.

The reason I think it was the pads was because it happened whenever I was driving slow (under 10 mph) but ONLY if I was off the brake pedal completely. If I applied any pressure at all to the brake the noise would go away. Plus the fact that it went away on its on leads me to believe it wasnt the bushings, otherwise I feel like it would keep getting worse or stay the same rather than get better. My pads were really new when this was going on, and since putting some miles on them it stopped.

 

Is it coming from the front?

its your brakes i had the same problem but it just goes aways cuz i do hard driving and it squeeks right after.

 

I just changed my OEM sway bar end links to SPL end links and eliminated all squeaks from the car.

 

i am like 99% sure its not the brakes

its like a squeeek that comes from an old bed haha

You have been handed a few different suggestions. What have you tried over the past 3 weeks?

 

i have tried.. clean the brakes with water soap.

didnt work..

tried cleaning with brake cleaners..

no help there either.

got some heavy duty silicon spray and sprayed every rubbish bushing in sight

not help there either

 

REPLACE sway bar end links.

i also ordered some d-specs and tanabe gf springs!

should i just install all this at once?

soo lets say i installed the shocks and springs.. and got it allined..

and later down the road replaced to the power grids.. do i need another alinemnet?

 

Sway bar end links do not do anything to the alignment so you'll be fine.

 

Check out the compression rod.There's TSB for g35 owners who had the same problem like yours.Mine was replaced under warranty.I have 03 g35sedan.

 

Hmm....just yesterday I noticed a 'squeak....squeak....squeak' coming from my front passenger side wheel area when driving slowly through the neighborhood. I went to a nearby parking lot and stood in the middle while I had my girlfriend drive circles around me so I could listen to it LOL. Definitely coming from that wheel area. The 'squeak' happens periodically, i.e. once every wheel revolution. It never happens while applying the brakes. It probably happens at all speeds, but anything higher than low speed and I can't hear it anymore due to road/wind/exhaust noise.

My first thought was that maybe there is somehow a high spot on my brake rotor that causes a squeak every time it goes by the pad, but that would have to be a pretty high spot and I don't think that's a reasonable hypothesis. Plus, it should 'machine' itself out of the way after enough driving at high speeds. I had the gf cut the wheel all the way in each direction so I could see if anything was stuck between the pad and the rotor. At the back edge of the pad I saw something kind of hanging out, looked like a torn thin piece of rubber. I stuck a pen in there and knocked it out, it felt like a piece of rotted rubber. But the noise is still there.

If I had a problem with end links like people have suggested, would it make the periodic 'squeak....squeak...squeak' once per wheel revolution, or would it be a more continuous 'squeal' like worn brakes?
