Ok, so I see that a vendor is offering the NISMO S Tune suspension kit for 1200.00 shipped to your door. I want to lower my ride but not slam it down to the ground. A simple 1 inch drop all around is all I'm looking for. I know I can do the spring swap, i.e. EIBACH, Tanabe, etc., but was wondering what would be comparable to the NISMO full kit setup. Any other suggestions out there?
A very big no for two very big reason's.
One, no aftermarket spring exists that will work stiffness wise.
Two, the existance of two products, that cost less and will do what you want.
Tokico shock and spring package
or
Eibach Pro-S coilovers (same thing as the Kw Variant 1, but normally for less $$)
Tokico D-spec shock & spring package
350Z - DSK512 - 375f/375r - Linear Springs 1"/1.5"
KW coilovers Variant's 1
twintube construction,
V1=non adjustable dampning,
Spring rates Front 485lbs to 525Lbs Rear: 240Lbs to 548Lbs (progressive springs)
Side note: Covering a wide range, these three products offer up german engineering, yet their use of twin tube construction is a compromise other competitive products don't do.
Eibach Pro street S coilovers
Drop range on 350Z 0.8 to 1.6" front same for the rear.
As per Eibach they are relabled KW variant 1 coilovers, springs are a different color simply because Eibach has them refinished red vs yellow.
Here's what I ment by aftermaket springs not working with S-tune shocks.
Eibach 350Z progressive springs 1”/1” drop
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 296/384 initial/final rear 316/421
Eibach 350Z sportline progressive springs 1.2"/1.2" drop
F: 239/400 R: 257/435
RSR 350Z linear springs .6”/.6” drop on 350Z
Spring rates in LBS 345/417
Hotchkis 350Z Linear springs .6”/.8” drop
Spring rates in lbs 340/330
Cobb Tuning 350Z Linear springs 3/4"-15/16" drop
Spring rates F345/R438
Tein S-tech 350z (fronts are progressive, rears are linear) .7”/.6” drop
Spring rates in LBS 386/402 (estimated front intial rate is 327lbs)
Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2” drop
Spring rates in LBS 358/375
Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1”/1.2” drop
Spring rates in LBS 336/375 (only peak rates are published, softer initial progressive rates unknown)
Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z progressive springs 1.2”/1.2” drop on Spring rates in LBS 314/353
Swift 350Z linear springs .8”/.6” drop on 350Z, G35 drop will be higher)
Spring rates in LBS 336/364
Nismo T2 350Z Linear springs 1”/1” drop on 350Z
DO NOT RUN THESE WITH OEM SHOCKS OF ANY KIND!
Spring rates in LBS 690/690
Vogtland 350z progressive springs 1”/1” drop
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 257/354 initial/final rear 285/422
Kg/mm springs 350Z
DR21 super sport 15mm drop
Spring rates in lbs initial/final front 246/398 initial/final rear 252/409
Kg/mm springs 350Z
DRacing 30mm drop
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 252/454 initial/final 252/482 rear
Espelir 350Z progressive springs .4"/.4" drop
Spring rates 386/515 (rear rate IMO is too high for all oem shocks, Z or G)
H&R sport progressive springs 350Z 1.3”/1” drop
Spring rates in LBS 370/400 (peak rates only, softer initial rates are unknown)

I guess I wasn't clear in my description - I'm not looking at replacing springs in the NISMO suspension kit. The objective is to lower the Zee 1 inch all around. I'm told I can accomplish this by
1) lowering springs, Eibach, Tanabe, Tein, etc....leaning towards Eibach unless I can be convinced to go with one of the others.
2) Install NISMO S Tune kit, replacing stock suspension and almost getting 1 inch drop.
3) Coilovers, take your pick.........
The lowering springs I assume is the least expensive unless I need toe/camber kit. From the various threads I've read, the Eibach pro kit will lower 1 inch to just over an inch. Some people say I'll need camber hardware, some say no. I need to investigate Tanabe and Tein and see which springs don't require toe/camber hardware. Trying to keep this mod at a minimal cost, and can't justify spending the $$ on a coilover system just to lower the ride an inch. Let me know what you think and appreciate any and all feedback.

I can ALMOST promise you will need camber kit wit Pro's. Anything past .8" and you will most likely need the kit.
From what ive seen, Pro's will settle below an inch, as well.
The thing is, whether u need a c kit or not varies on each and every car, as they are all different, driven different, diff weight of drivers, passengers, etc.
Its a "put em' on and see" type deal. Your pushing your luck with anything past .8, though, and few companies make a drop less than .8.
Tein H-Tech = .2 ff .3 rr (youll be ok)
Tein S-Tech = .7 fr .6 rr (youll be ok)
Pro kit = 1 fr 1 rr (most likely need c kit)
Tanabe GF = 1 fr 1.2 rr (def need c kit)
Tanabe NF = 1.2fr 1.2 rr (def need c kit)
Hotchkis = .6 fr .8 rr (pushing it but most likely be ok)

Ahh, clarity, yes you weren't clear, but now you are.
Any real investigation will reveal that brand name mean's nothing when it comes to 1" drops and needing camber correction or not. Most car's that actually see the rack with a 1" drop or greater aren't within oem specs. However, for many they are close enough that those owners can't justify the cost to correct. IMO, for a 1" drop I'd go with with either Ebach Pro-Kit or Progress springs and at the very least install the Eibach or SPC rear camber kit that comes with elongated toe cam bolts. At .7" or .3" I don't see you being happy with the drop Tein springs will give on the Z.
And to address your last question from the original post, "but was wondering what would be comparable to the NISMO full kit setup."
No spring add on will make the car comparable to a Z with the Nismo S-tune shock and spring kit.

(looking for the best way to lower about 1 inch.) Could you please give the link to the vendor selling the S-Tune for 1200.00 shipped?. Thanks

It is a well tuned spring/shock combo for the street (or occasional track) that still provides some comfort, increased handling, and a not too aggressive drop. It's seems to lower the car closer to an inch IMO...especially since they've settled in on my car. I'd say closer to .8 than the .6 rating. There was no issue with feathering or increased camber wear on my car (after alignment). I'm including the spring/shock perches for an easy swap out install. They came off my 03 touring at 10,080 miles.
