Default stock brembos vs stock brakes

are they basically the same? i have read some threads to see some people say theres not much difference only it says "brembo" on it. if so why are they still expensive, just because of the name?

They are not the same. There is a difference between the two. If you actually engage in any motor sports (aside from drag racing) with your vehicle the Brembos are superior when compared to the stock non-brembo brakes.

There are difference in the cooling. Less brake fade with the Brembos

Brembo rotors are larger in diameter and thickness. Yes, they are 4 piston in front, 2 in rear. Calipers are larger and made of aluminium.

i switch from the oem 07 brakes to brembo's... you definitly feel less fade due to the better cooling on the brembo's. also i can feel the brakes "bite" earlier when pressing the brakes. it has a much better feel than the oem. if you have the old 1 piston front and rears... they just do not want to stop from what i felt.

as for the rotor size, exactly what DavesZ#3 said.
