Front tire rub/bounce
I spent the last hour searching this forum but couldn't find any answers. I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some light on my problem. I recently dropped my Z on Eibach Sportline springs and it achieved the slammed look I wanted. The problem is that the front tires rub and bottom out on the wheel-well way too much - bascially any bumps I drive over. I have no problems on the rear which is odd because I really thought I would rub here. My wheel and tire specs are as follows:
Wheel:
Front: 19 X 8 1/2 +23 offset
Rear: 19 X 9 1/2 +24 offset
Tire:
Front: 245/35
Rear: 275/35
I suspect that I need to change my stock shocks to something that can handle a slammed car.
Thanks in advance for your advices.

Under the best of circumstances, rolling with lowering springs that drop a car ends up being a compromise between ride quality and getting the look you want.
What year is your Z? (If it's a 04, please look at your rear shocks and tell me if you see stickers that have yellow on them).
How many miles are on the oem shocks?
As far as your rub, you can't alter the front lip to change anything. Either raise the car back up or pick a front tire that is narrower.
Their is no such thing as a shock you can get for these cars that can handle a slammed car. No one makes a shortened case/piston rod setup, except Truechoice and that is NOT valved for any lowering spring on the market. Best shock I can think of would be the D-spec, which also does happen to have a shortened rear case/rod length to help out.

OP you answered your own question. Stock shocks have a lot of travel. You will realize that when you pull them off and compress them by hand.
At least you dumped a lot of coin on the wheels and 300.00 bucks on your suspension...lol

Hey G,
Thanks for your assistance. It's a 2006 with 31K miles on the OEM shocks...
