Received new brake rotors. Is this a problem?
Hello,
I need some advice. I just received some new one-piece brake rotors (front), and I have noticed that they are slightly different. Both rotors have the same part number, but there is a difference in the "hat" area. As can be seen in the picture, one rotor is built with a 90 degree angle (square-ish) where the "hat" area joins the rotor. The other is built with a rounded or bevelded angle for this connection. Also it can be seen that the square one has a bigger lip (approx 1/2 inch), as compared to the rounded one. I'm guessing that the PAD contact area is what is important, so this might not be a problem, since the contact area will be in the outer edge of the rotors. Is this the case ?
Also, I can see that the rotor sandwitch plates (for lack of better words) are different. Thicker in front plate on once / thicker on the back plate for the other. This can bee seen in the pics, though overall thickness seems the same. Both rotors have the same diameter / hub size etc.
Will any of this be a functional problem, or is it just the looks? I'm debating whether I need to return, but I'm torn since this would be my second problem with this order, and I really need to get my bakes fixed asap.
Thank you.

R1 Concepts. Definitely a quality control issue. I had to do two returns on this order. Wasted a lot of my time and also some money.
I have them installed now, so I can only hope they hold up.
