Default BC Racing BR coilover dyno plots anyone?

I was wondering if anyone has BC Racing BR series coilovers with dyno plots. After doing quite a bit of research it turns out a lot of coilovers perform extremely poorly on shock dynos. So before I spend some money on a budget coilover system, I just wanna see how bad or good they are on the dyno. I don't expect them to be amazing like a Penske shock would be but I also don't wanna be throwing away money since I will be tracking my car a few times a year. I've searched quite a bit and haven't seen these dyno plots. I know some of you are gonna say just buy more expensive ones, but I've seen dyno plots for some of these and they stink.

It's going to take a owner to man up and run the one's they own, simple as that. I've been offering to dyno the setup for free for some time now, no takers. Though sadly I can no longer offer that service.

Because of how poorly the Megan Racing coilover is, which is made by Bc I have no trust whatsoever concerning their own product. All the owner review's in the world, mean zip zero to me, seeing independent dyno's is the only thing I trust. Now, seeing one dyno done at at a unknown setting is better then nothing. Seeing at least full soft, halfway and full stiff with hysteress loops, would be better. Their is a BcRacing shock dyno floating on the net, not a Z application however and it's from BcRacing.

Curious, what 350Z shock dyno's have you seen? And can you post a example what what looks bad to you and what looks good to you?

I have seen one for the hks hypermax. Let me find it. Otherwise most users will not be able to supply such info so search for what is tried and true. My suggestions are HKS, Amuse very rare, Cusco and these setups have worked since 02 when the Z was introduced.

I haven't seen 350z specific damper dyno charts. I have been reading quite a bit though. And most of what I've learned were from your posts on here. Also, I think you linked to the Far North Racing website where I've been researching. I know the BC Racing BR series aren't going to be great but if I can have a few of the 30 settings line up on all 4 corners, then that will be fine for my 4 or 5 track days a year.

I've seen a BC Racing ER series plot. Linked here.

The ER series is a better product than the BR so that's why I'm curious as to what the BR looks like. ER series seems to provide to much high speed damping. But that's just my amateur opinion.

Without a shock dyno, it's a pretty big "IF"

Just because the ER differ's from the BR by being twin tube, double adjustable and having gas canisters, doesn't automatically mean it's better.

All I can say about the ER dyno posting in that thread is, his summary about the dyno is wrong on a number of points and a lot of those points he's using as a basis to proclaim the worth of his purchase. All to interesting that the very first reply is from a vendor that sell's the product. Overall I see several weaknesses in the plots that I would not tolerate, be it track or steet setup.

Dennis Grant, aka http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets6.html is a great guy that shines the light on a subject so many are in the dark on. However, he should not be taken to to closely to heart. Until we see dyno's on Tein Flex, MonoFlex and SCR, we cannot assume they behave as he has seen. As a example for the Miata, the Flex is a really good product.

Thanks for the reply guys. I didn't realize most dampers out there perform so poorly on dynos until I started reading up on them. Looks like my best bet would be going with a damper with proven results.

Hopefully someone can dyno terrasmak's dampers. Would be awesome to see how they perform.

Update:

I should have a shock dyno emailed to me mon/tues according to BC's Tech dept. Their r&d is oversea's. We can add this to G35's data if they produce it.

We run them on our track car, they've been great. They actually do adjust and are dampened to the spring rates. BC also spring and dampen them to order. You can go +/- 2k on the rates. We haven't dyno'd them, but we do track them hard and they work.

it's bouncy on this video ecause we had turned the dampening down in the previous race.

So in this post people are worried about the dyno performance of their car with the BC BR racing coils? Is it fair to say that some coils actually cause you to lose power? I'm asking because I was completely unaware of this, and read by a few people that the BR's are very bouncy, is this bouncy when just shifting and cornering or even on straights? For DD, I don't want to be hopping around everywhere Any response is great, thanks!

Also Rich, did you ever get that data?

Google shock dyno, has nothing to do with your engine.

Some great info is also here http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets6.html

You may even learn why BC shocks are crap.
