awesome! i'm glad this thread helped someone else. Hopefully people will realize that this is an economical and worthwhile swap! I had my doubts at first, for sure.

Now that you can buy the Akebono brakes off the 370Z for like $1200, an upgrade is really affordable.

I wish somebody would find an in-expensive tool to spread the pads and compress the pistons to make changing them even easier. Just like this...

...but cheaper than $225.

Pumping old thread.

I'm running into similar thing and made sure that I bled correctly (using motive power bleeder).

The pedal seems softer and travel more compared to how I felt on the Z.

Is this normal?

There is a WAY cheaper way! Possibly cheaper than this but I'm a BluePoint/Snap-On junkie!

$52 CDN bought me one of these:

It's a BluePoint Universal Caliper Brake tool. It EASILY presses the pistons back into the caliper. You can either spin the rod by hand or wrench. I use one of these for all the buses i work on (H.E.T.) & the calipers on some buses are massive so this will definitely work on stock/Brembo calipers!

Thanks. I'll have to look into one of those.

Do you know the part number?

All I've been able to find through Google is these...
