Default Alignment Question

I have an 03 that drifts slightly to the right on the freeway; not bad but just enough to be a little irritating. The car does not have the feathering or road noise problem. I would like to have it aligned but have heard that the 03's have had to have their alignment changed to fix the tire feathering problem. I don't want to introduce a new problem; is there anything I should be aware of in having the car aligned? Will the dealer or shops have the correct specs? What was done on the recalls to fix the feathering problem? The original owner I bought the car from said he had no problems but did take the car in for 2 recalls just to be sure.

Nothing to worry about. Any decent shop will have the most current alignment specs in their machine.

The "fix" for feathering was to set the proper toe-in on the front wheels.

have your alignment checked often as well. My Z does not hold an alignment for crap. In six months I was way out and had toe in on the front and rear tires cost me a set of tires all the way around loud feathering in the front and worn out in the rear on the inside.

I had this issue on my 2003. The noise from the bridgestones at low speed was dreadful and two of the tyres were badly worn on the insides. I got new tyres and then had a laser alignment done and its been fine since.

How long has it been I had fresh tires had the laser alignment done and 8 months later tires were trashed. Put the rear set on last month and got another alignment. Four weeks later had a new front set installed and had alignment checked toe in was way off again.

Mm, very odd - that was a whole year ago - not had any more problems since with uneven wear or noise and it was VERY bad before.
