For those who have the full Tokico D-spec (Spring & Shock) on their car, can you please tell me how much it lower the REAR of the car???

Any pictures???

 

Approximately 1". I had an Eibach Pro Kit before and the D-specs are *maybe* .2" higher in the rear. I would say it's a 1" drop all the way around where the Eibach was 1"F and 1.2"R.

I was running the Eibachs on stock shocks, but I was surprised at the difference changing to the Tokico combo made.

Car is currently at the body shop otherwise I would measure from the ground to the fender for you.

 

So you had Prokits with stock shocks and now u have full tokico spring/shock and its .2" higher? Prokit advertised drop was 1" all around. So is Tokico's drop but read here and ther ethat it was 1.5"

 

Yes, I had the Pro kit and stock shocks then switched to the Tokico spring/shock combination. They are about the same drop, not much difference at all. Where are you getting 1.5" from?

 

For what it's worth, I like my D-Spec kit a lot and wouldn't trade it for a low-end coilover. The only complaint I have is that the shock adjustment in the rear is at on top which requires you to either drop the shock down or do like I did and cut half-moon shaped holes into the rear strut bar. No big deal with a dremmel. The shock adjustments do make a difference on the track and auto-x courses though so I would suggest you play with the settings until you get them how you like.

 

Here on my350z.com by other members and other owners with the same kit...so i needed a solid answer

 

It's 1", not 1.5". I don't have a "before" pic with stock springs, but here is one with the Tokicos installed. They are low but they don't tuck the rear tire on my 19" or 17" setup. These pics really don't do the drop justice. Last pic is 275/40/17 on a 9" +15, which isn't as tall as the 19" with 275/35.

Would you consider cutting the rear mounts to lower the rear a bit more???

I actually have mine cut .5" (with Tein S-techs) and was wondering if i put the Tokicos i would have a lower rear than front.

 

I think that if I cut mine it would look more level. That might be because I was used to the Eibach drop which like I said looked about .2" lower in the rear than the Tokicos. However, the reason the car is in the shop now is because the design of the sideskirts makes them the lowest part of the car (2 3/4" off the ground) and before a bump or when the rear wheel goes into a pothole, the skirts take the abuse.

I have already paved the gutter in front of my driveway and if it was possible to go lower then my Z would be on the ground.
