Whats the DIFFERENCE? Between Megan Racing Coilovers...Street vs. Track
I'm looking at buying some megan racing coilovers but cant decide between the street version or track. Does anyone have any recommandations? All i know is that the track has higher spring rates than street.
Differance?
Neither one is going to deliver what it promises and should be avoided at all costs. I was given a non Track Megan setup to test, worst suspenision product I've ever installed. I was going to toss it in the trash because I wouldn't wish that kind of garbage on another car owner. Before I did I bought softer front springs and retested, then and only then did I feel ok with another owner taking them off my hands.
You get what you pay for in the suspension, I know not everyone is made of money, but don't settle for cheap junk, save up if you have to.

one is trash and the other is stiffer trash? lol jk...
Before I buy any shocks/coilovers I would ask them if I can get a dyno graph of the shocks and ask them what the ***** actually adjust. Most of these cheapo coilover companies just buy coilovers from overseas and rebadge them - building shocks is sophisticated and takes alot of expertise and knowledge, something that usually doesn't come cheap.
Most of these companies "build" shocks with less than desired damping characteristics with adjustment ***** that have a ton of compression and rebound crosstalk. Sure they'll let you slam your car and maybe "feel" like they're better than stock with much stiffer springs, but to a discerning driver they'd probably feel not so good due to the crappy dampers. But they do let you slam your car.
Disclaimer: I'm not really against cheaper/imitation companies/products I just think for something that's as sophisticated as dampers, shop with higher standards.
