Default 04 Z suspension

Sup guys... Its christmas time so im bout to drop my Z finally.
Doing all my research & came up with the Eibach sportlines with 25mm rear spacers & 20mm front spacers. I have stock 18" 235/40F 245/40R. My ? is what struts & shocks would work best with this set-up? What alignment specs do i need & would it be better with a spring mount mod like .5" let me know what u think...

Thanks GT-Z

Spring mount mod may be to much, the Sportlines already drop the car a good amount. I'd put them on first before cutting anything. If you still want it a little lower in the rear you can always taken them out easily. As far as struts, either D-specs or Koni's depending on your budget. And I would at least get some rear camber arms with toe bolts such as Ichiba or SPC. You may need fronts also, you may not. Also remember you will probably need to roll your fenders in the rear with those spacers.

+1 on leaving the spring mounts alone. I don't think you will have any rubbing issues with those size tires. Get an alignment after the springs settle.

I saw that but figured it was a typo. 245/40's in the rear would be a bad idea, that's a good front tire size. If he had those in the rear everything from ABS to speedmeter would be screwed up, not to mention TCS/VDC would go haywire if equipped.

Sportlines are LOW for these cars, so be prepared to deal with all that comes with that

you're going to need front a arms, you're going to need a rear camber/toe kit

as far as struts, all depends on your budget

sportlines are too bouncy on stock struts. the rear camber/toe kit is a must for any drop... remember sportlines will put the stock front arms at about -2 degrees camber, which is good for aggressive wheels but some people dont like it. without proper tools cutting the spring mounts is a PITA(expect hot rubber to fling). springs ~$200 + struts ~550 = shoulda just spent a little more for coilovers. good luck.
