Unhappy iForged/Brake Help!

Gang - I just got my 18" iForged Evolutions in & they look outstanding! However, I may have a problem that you can help my uneducated self with. I have a G35 coupe without the Brembo brakes. The rear wheels fit perfectly BUT the front's do not because of a bolt extending from the rotor. I'm not sure of the purpose of that bolt ( does it hold the rotor on? ) but the wheels don't have a relief hole drilled into them to allow it to seat fully. Since Vince isn't in on the weekend I'm still running on the factory 17's. I plan on upgrading to the Stop Tech setup so here's my question to ya. If I go ahead & do the upgrade, do the StopTech rotors have this bolt? If so, then I'll have to ship the 2 wheels back to Vince for adjustment. If not, then I'll hang on to the wheels until I swap the brake setup. I can't tell from pictures if the ST brakes have this hole provision or not. The back brakes have a recessed screw in them so maybe I can replace the bolt extension in question with a screw? Any help will be appreciated!

It's to prevent you from putting the stock rear wheels on the front.

Remove it....there's no need to have it on.

Wouldn't the StopTech be bigger than stock and not fit?
Check their site, they have a fitment cutout you can make.

Question Should Fit

I'm under the impression from their website & others on this site that as long as U have 18" or larger wheels, the 14" Stoptech rotors will easily fit. I went ahead & removed the bolt/spacer as Jonathan suggested ( 11mm socket & very little torque ) & now I'm rollin' with some style! Pics to follow.

glad you were able to get them on....but i think what really is the factor when is comes to fitment is the offset

Yup. If you ordered with the 2" front lip the Stoptech's will fit. Otherwise you'll probably need spacers.

Thumbs up Good Info!

Thanks guys! I spoke with Vince at great length before sizing the Evolutions. I went with a 2" lip on front ( 18" x 8.5" ) & a 3.5" lip on the rear ( 18" x 10" ). These fitments will easily allow me to run the larger rotors.

Unhappy I Wish!

Damen - I wish I could go larger than 18" but our roads in Cajunland aren't very receptive to small sidewalls!
I've already seen some 19's bent around here so I'm happy with my 18's. Beautiful wheel, though!
