To those planning on buying these, I asked him "Since they've been opened, do they come with everything from the manufacturer for the install?" And he responded with almost the exact same thing:

Dear ***,

Hi please google additional info. bilstein B16 PSS9/PSS10
bilstein B14 PSS
F4-HE5-A162-H2
You CAN ALSO LOOK AT AUCTION NUMBER 390002678831, 3. please google info 4. nothing missing. No receipt. New in box. Thanks

- one_stop_autoparts

BTW, that auction number leads to PSS9s also...

From the research I did, the part number only returned PSS, so yes I believe they are. I think Bilstein may just use the box for multiple sets to save money.

I would be very hesitant and would advise against bidding on these. I need some coilovers as well but I won't risk getting these for $1000-$1100 only to have some problems with them later on.

The responses from this seller have been fishy and not concrete.

Majority of the items he sells are open box items marked as new. And he has various items from different cars, and not two of the same item. I wonder how he acquires his products that he sells??

An lastly, I don't understand " BOX WAS OPENED FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR THE PHOTOS."

Why would anyone open up a factory sealed box just for pictures? Especially seeing how the items inside the box weren't even removed and photographed.

If you have a factory sealed box of coilovers from Blistein, you don't rip it open just to take a picture from the top.

My guess is these were an open box item, don't know where he got them or how he got them, but buyer beware and be smart.

Nismo had a good point so I did one last bit of research for you guys interested in it:

"Why did you break the factory seal on a box just to take a picture from the top?"

Response:
"HI, if an item is new in box, we do open our merchandise to photograph it need be. We have others in stock, if we send one advertised never opened then we will ship the one we did not open. Thanks"

Yes, but this was advertised "opened for pictures" not "never been opened", so they're going to send the opened one. Also keep in mind that since it's a no reserve auction those that know how to bid will be waiting until the last 5 minutes. It would not surprise me to see these go up over $1k.

"Opened for pictures"

What a lame excuse for an open box item. They acquired an open box of coilovers at a fraction of the cost and will try and sell these as new.

I just don't trust them that they opened it for pictures.

So these Bilstein PSS's went for $900... if you check the seller's feedback you can see that someone else also bought a set of these exact coilovers about a week ago and only paid $652.

The seller should thank blitz2k1 for getting a lot more potential buyers interested and rising up the selling price. I think next time you find a 'good deal' keep it to yourself, because once you post it in an enthusiast forum it won't be a good deal anymore and you're just hurting the potential buyer that actually found it themselves.

Either way, tw8715 let us know if you made a good purchase.
