Enthusiast vs touring suspension
I have to ask you guys this. No matter where you search, you can't find a definitive answer on this. I'm looking at an o8 enthu . I had a touring . I felt it was too soft and that it swayed too much. A couple years ago, I drove an enthu. I remember it being much firmer and more controlled. Is this true or not ?
If your Touring model was too soft and sway'd too much then your shock/springs must be shot. To answer your question, no. They're all the same per year. 03 Touring is same as 03 Enthusiast, 05 Touring is same as 05 Enthusiast, etc etc.

2005 Track and 35AE 6MT got 34mm FSB vs. 32mm FSB on the earlier 2005s.
So Nissan has introduced suspension changes mid-year, but generally that is the exception instead of the norm.
Seems they have just made it softer with each new generation... at least thats what I remember when looking at spring rates and such. I drove a 370Z and it felt really soft, but then again I didn't get to track the car
, just standard around-town drive.
Same year though I don't think there is any differences, only the NISMO has beefed up suspension.

No, my springs/shocks weren't shot. I sold the car at 6k miles . I drove a track in 05 MUCH much firmer. Drove a 370z Touring and that was purely tuned for comfort. Haven't tried a Sport pkg 370 yet. I just wondered if a an 08 enthu was firmer than 08 touring. Some have told me it is some haven't, but I thank all for the replies.

Back then the track had rims, brembos, non-heated seats and no leather, a slightely harder ride with slightly firmer suspension system.
Today, I can't make myself get rid of the leather and heated Touring seats for the four point seat belts which I must have.
The VDC control on the touring is ativated automatically when the ignition is activated.
With the track, the VDC must be selected manually before it can be activated.
I am uncertain how Nissan packages the two 2010 models; but you do get the picture, don't you.

Hate to break this to everybody but today I bought an 08 enthu. Much firmer, more controlled ride than the 08 Touring that I had. Now I'm happy.BTW, 350z much better car than 370 but don't tell anyone!
I suppose if you put it that way, you make a good point. Afterall, quite a number of us immediately switch to performance shocks anyway. The $10,000 savings could very well get you some great suspension systems, like the adjustable on the fly, Tiens/EDFC; And, probable the 4 point seat belts' seat plus the turbos.
I would have probably saved a lot, but in 2002-2003 there were many unknowns till you actually drove out of the dealership. There was only one touring available at my dealership, take it or leave it.
Do you plan to get it modified with turbos?
Enjoy

No I wouldn't turbo the car. I've had too many problems with Turboed cars in the past, including blown turbochargers. The 350z is plenty fast enough on the street. My only problem with my touring was it was way too soft. Honestly it seems as if Nissan felt they had to provide a luxury version of the z. Even the steering response and the shifter were softened. I had assumed that it was merely a matter of leather seats and Bose stereo etc. And no matter where you searched on the web, you could find very little info on the actual differences between the enthu and the touring. I hate to say this ,but the Touring eventually became the fat old man of the line. My touring had only 6k on it when sold. The Enthu i just bought has only 5k so it's not a matter of miles.
