excessive body roll
about 2 months ago i began noticing a crackling sound. to me it sounded like a spring shifting either compressing or decompressing... i only hear the sound when weight shifts around the car... like opening a door, getting out of the car, one wheel being elevated higher or lower than the others...
i was a little annoyed by the noises, but figured it was just something the cold weather was causing... about a month ago i replaced all four Michelin pilots tires with hankook v12's. before and after wheel alignment i noticed more body roll when changing lanes and turning.
i am using the same size tires and the same tire pressure as before with the michelin's. i havent had any traction problems on wet or dry roads.
although i didnt notice the body roll issue before replacing the tires, could it be a suspension problem? as far as i know the entire suspension setup is stock... although other Z owners have said my car sits a lot lower than their stock Z's...
i have tried manually pushing down over a wheel well to check for excessive bounce... it didnt bounce.
