Question about the DIY Changing brake pads
The DIY says to use the factory included scissor jack?! Thought this was completely unsafe?
I will be changing the brake pads and rotors next week. So I had a few questions.
I purchased a floor jack to properly jack the car. I am assuming I should still place a jack stand somewhere.
Where do I place the jack stands, if the floor jack is under the jacking point/pinch rail?
Thanks

You should never do work with the car supported by just a jack. Always use jack stands or ramps.
Check the Top 100 Questions thread linked in my sig. A diagram of the proper jack points is there.

There's a problem with the jack points. I don't think a standard jack can get in there. It's way in there.
