Default Stance Gr+ help! lowering the front

Posted this on another thread but no replies. Anyway im trying to lower my front end some more but i believe i maxed out. The collars on top of the brake line bracket is sitting on top of it so it cant go any lower. However i do have room underneath the brake line bracket piece. Does that piece go down? It doesnt seem to move. Thanks in advance.

If you look here you can see the brake line bracket, theres two collors holding it top and bottom. Can that whole piece (brake line bracket piece) move down? As you can see theres about an inch of thread left under it.

im not 100% sure which is which, but you only want to adjust 1 to lower. the other is preload... don't think you should be lowering the preload all the way down...

it looks like you are adjusting them wrong.

you adjust ride height by screwing the lowest gold collar all the way up, then tightening the shock base up the threads, then adjust the gold collar back down. you are adjusting ride height by changing the spring preload setting. the stance gr+ are designed to be able to adjust preload on the spring and ride height independently.

here is a diagram of how to correctly adjust these coilovers, if you will do it this way you can lay frame with them.

One more question...do i have to take off the whole strut to adjust height? Bcs your telling me that i have to raise that last bottom gold collar upwards and then raise the base up with it to lock it? So that means i have to twist the whole base meaning i have to take it off the car? Thanks again!!!

yeah just measure how much you need to adjust and move the lowest collar that far up, then twist the base up to meet it. you may be able to do it without taking the entire shock out but you will atleast need take out the bottom bolt and drop the bottom part of the suspension to adjust it. make probably need to take them out all the way to make sure the preload is adjusted correctly on each side. once you have them dialed in just right you will have the handling and height you want. I used 7" as my preload setting for the fronts and it is great for me. that means compress the spring with the top collar until it measures 7". it will take a few times of adjusting to them right but it is worth it.

Well my car is on jack stands right now due to a stuck/seized collar

The thing wont budge, i tried soaking it up with wd40 and then hitting the locking key with a hammer but nothing. I soaked it up some more and ill try again tomorrow. I think since weve been having snow storms the past couple months caused this.

I think I was adjusting mine wrong too. I been adjusting the top half of the coilover and never moved the botton below the brake lines.
