Install Rear Camber and Toe Bolts and Arms Brake Rotors Too!
Well as stated due to my previous adventure of having my Ichiba camber arms fail on me I discovered this after purchasing Wicked Tuning Toe arms.
I finally purchased the Wicked Tuning Camber arms and redid the Toe bolts as well.
You do NOT have to remove the Exhaust to dremel out the TOE bolt pill hole. I did not even use a template (didn't have one)I just removed a little material at a time unitl the toe bolt completed a full cycle sitting flush between the points. The trick to using the dremel is using the wand extension (flex shaft for the dremel).
I figured since I was already stuck doing this train wreck I might as well replace my rotors and pads all the way around even though they did not need it but what the hell its only money right.
Well follow the pictures and I will try to add more explaination later on since I am in a bind of time.
The shipments
The removal process yea I had these installed (myself) and now have to uninstall and reinstall everything.

Yes you have to completely disengage the lower control arm you do NOT have to remove it from the spindal.
I am using the Dremel with the Flex shaft no exhaust drop and I have stock exhaust aftermarket exhaust does not get in the way.
Like I said I just kept cutting away at the material until it made a full cycle in the spot. I did NOT use a template.

Use two wrenches for leverage when breaking the bolts free on the camber arms.
The failed arms.
Side by side comparison of new and old. The Wicked Tuning are made of Aluminum way high quality and design and cheaper then Ichiba too.
I used the stock arms to get a rough idea of length for alignment just to get me to the alignment shop. I bought the lifetime alignment at firestone.

New Brakes...
My rear tires are 235 65 R 20 and after having the car aligned it fits well in the space there is no huge gap anymorethe outer diameter of the tire comes in at 27 1/4 inches and the front tires are 245 35 R20 and come in at 26 1/4 inches strange I know but it works for me.
Any questions on specific pictures please ask and I will try to provide more detail but I figure pictures can do alot of talking for themselves.

I just bought Stillen camber arms, and had trolled around Ebay first and had noticed the Wicked arms...I was wondering if anyone had picked some up yet. They look to be pretty good quality! What kinda rotors are those?
BTW, those Ichiba arms have some corrosion I noticed...you bought them new?

The rusting on the arms is from driving here in floriduh in the rain. I have the Ichiba front upper control arms and they are doing just fine.
The wicked have a much better quality and appeal to them IMO.
I bought the arms and the brake rotors come from ebay also I paid 180 shipped to my door with ceramic pads. Lets just say the brake dust on the wheels that I don't have to constantly scrub off make it worth the hassel.

Actually I have NOTHING from SPC. Those toe bolts came with the Ichiba kit err the original ones did then I had to go hunting to find new ones (I lost the ones that came with the kit) I think they were from Napa. Having adjustability from both sides helps tremendously.
My car now looks like I did a one inch drop in the rear. Reality I have Zero drop from factory I did replace the rear struts back in November with Monroes But the springs are still stocks.
LeeR at first I was trying to figure out what you were refering to now I see the reflection of myself in the polished part of the Heim Joint.
R350Zz33 : The brakes so far in 1500 miles of driving I have zero pulsation and I say about a fifth of the brake dust. As far as quicker stopping it may have helped zeduce the distance by some but I think its more of a plecebo than anything. The slotting and holes do help disapate the heat and you can actually touch the rotars (redneck stunt) a bit sooner but I am still not going to find out the hard way.
I have drilled rotors on my 4Runner (88) I have replaced the pads 3 times in nine years and have yet to still need to replace or even resurface the rotors (4 wheel disc). I put the same set of rotors and pads on my 03 Altima ( I sold it to my cousin 3 years ago and he has put nearly 40K miles on the car and only 3 months ago replaced the pads). I have also installed the same setup on my dads 04 Ram 4x4 1500 and we regularly tow a 9K lb boat and no issues in the 5K miles on them so far.

Obex26...I need some help
Hi Obex...First and foresmost-great blog on your camber kits rehab!! You answered many questions I had about trying/attemping to do this myself. However, I have some additional questions regarding installation...I also live in FL, Ft. Lauderdale to be exact. Can i email you my #, so that I could get more info on install?? My email edjativa@hotmail.com.
Its a shame to see my tires wither away so quick, so the install is top priority.
Thanks a lot Obex26...Ed.

About 1500 miles to go before my 4K miles since install of parts no tire wear, no alignment issues and we all know how stellar the roads in miami can be.
I would honestly say having the Heim joints has actually improved the comfort of the ride (reduced rigidity). I think I am about to embark on a new journey.

Anybody have suggestions on what toe bolts to go with?
