can a very small bend in a rim cause vibrations?
I had an after market steering wheel installed and it is out of alignment. But I also noticed that my driverside wheel has a very small bend in it.
Can this cause alot of vibration at high speeds? I'm driving 60 - 80 mph and my steering wheel vibrates pretty crazy. I fold down the visor while driving and pop open the mirror just to see how bad it is and I cant even see a refelection due to vibrations!
Thinking if I should do the alignment or just replace the rim. I want to do both but cant right now. Trying to make the more logical choice as of now.

bent rim can and probably will cause vibrations.
wheel alightment might fix it. but probably not. best to fix the bent rim.
you might want to get a 4 wheel steering alighment to straighten out your steering wheel.

a smalll bend in a rim is moving the weight of the rim....
think about the small "stick on" gram weights they put on a wheel to balance............???
the wheel would need to be balanced again.......if the wheel can be ballanced with the bend, then it can be used so long as its bend is safe - but hey, its your car..
