New pad and new rotors; squealing when NOT braking!
I have a 2004 Touring with non-Brembo brakes and 52,000 miles. I previously had Hawk HPS pads and slotted rotors that were worn, so I bought Axxis Ultimates and these slotted/zinc-plated rotors:

I installed the new pads and rotors on Sunday, re-using the stock shims on the piston-side (interior pad). I used the CRC brand anti-squeal product. I also went through the bedding process.
Now the brakes squeal whenever the car is moving. If I apply the brakes, the squeal goes away. I think the sound is coming from multiple wheels, but I can't tell which ones. It's incredibly annoying (and embarrassing). Please help!

Check and see if your shims and springs are installed correctly. After a brake job, I spin the hub (while in the air) a few times to make sure nothings rubbing or otherwise wrong. Once I put a spring in wrong which squealled and grinded it down so it had to be replaced. Could be brakes touching a little too, either push them back or they'll wear down to where they're clear eventually. Either way jack the car up and spin the wheel and you'll probably figure it out quicky if its a rubbing issue. If all clear there, you probably just have squeaky brakes. More agressive brakes are generally noisier by nature.
