Most Unique Symptom Ever?
Incident: As I was turning left, a Jeep decided to nearly hit me, and I was forced to turn way too wide & my front passenger wheel slammed into the curb at 10-15mph at a 45 degree angle.
Symptom: at speeds of 40mph+, there is a vibration coming from the passenger front wheel well area that gets progressively louder and more frequent with speed. However, the tricky part is that it's much too infrequent for the sound to happen once per wheel revolution. At highway speeds the vibration occours about once per second, and is very rythmic at unchanging speeds.
As I turn the steering wheel right-of-center, the vibration stops completely (even as slightly as to change lanes on the highway). If I turn the steering wheel left-of-center, it somewhat increases the loudness and intenseity of the vibration.
I can feel the vibration in my seat, and in the steering wheel, and is most intense on the passenger side of the car (can be felt on the dashboard on passenger side)
There has been no handeling interference, and apart from the sound, the car drives perfectly normal.
What I've done so far:
>>>> Examined wheel well and surrounding area for loose pannels or screws, tightened everything down
>>>> It can't be a bent wheel because I've swapped right front & left front wheels - resulted in the sound still coming from front passenger side (therefore it's not the wheel or the tire causing the problem)
Because this happened while driving, don't you think the insurance would cover this? I have full coverage with very low deductables.

I know you swapped the wheels, but i wouldnt rule it out, i would get the original wheel that was hit on a balancer and check it for round and balance.....also, it could be tire ply separation, any really good tire shop and inspect the sidewall for a slight bubble or softspot.
after that, i would remove everything, check and inspect the entire wheel well and look for damage...check all the bushings, etc...
i would say yes to the insurance, you can claim it and any good shop should be able to pinpoint it........i run with low deductibles for this reason as well. most body repair shops uses laser at the main points and can look for tweaks...and a trained eye should be able to spot anything out of the ordinary...
can you take a bunch of pics?

Yes, it definitely looks like the wheel bearing because I found another thread on here that has the exact same problem with exactly the same symptoms!

Why do you say get a Murano FWD wheel bearing, are they the same as the '03 350Z for the front? I'm guessing they're dime a dozen compared to the Z ones?

Oh oops I meant the rear ones, and its stronger, but other than that it fits the same and everything? I was guessing it'd be around $100 for the part, I'm sure I can put it on myself, is that price approximately accurate?
