So I've been searching alot and found alot of useful information. But a couple of my questions have yet to be asked or answered on here and google. I'm planning on ordering either Carbotech XP10 or XP8 pads tomorrow. Should I order new shims or can I use the Nissan shims. My 06 also has 36k miles and I'd say that my brakes have yet to be used to their full potential but they have worn down as necessary. My car is used primarily for DD but I do alot of spirted driving which generally calls for heavy braking application.

Another question that the Carbotech website couldn't answer for me is, what is the primary difference between the XP10 pad and the XP8 pad? On their website it shows they both have around the same .60 coe. and but different heat ranges and other sites show they have the same heat ranges and coe. If anyone can answer these questions.

Also do they come with wear tabs? The only reason I care about the wear tabs is for the removal of the pads when they are worn out.
