Firstly, all these "brakes made in China or Taiwan are crap" comments are totally unfounded. The thing that most people don't realise is that most large brake brands have their kits made in Taiwan, most of which are made by the same factory I buy my kits from. The quality of these kits is as good as, if not better than kits made in UK or anywhere else for that matter.

Secondly the "this guys only sold a load of PS3 games and a VW kit"..... Correct, I have sold a load of PS3 games, is that a crime? and make that 3 kits so far (in the first month), customers happy and positive feedback received. I thought that was a good thing, no? We've all got to start somewhere guys! Thirdly, I thought the name was quite good to be honest.... even if you don't like it it's not printed on the calipers, so you can put whatever name you feel like on there, for example.... "Dnk" or "Jihwaan" if that makes you happy. Also the "I'll send out replacement seals" comment is a valid point. One guy asked me what I'd do if the caliper seals leaked, to which I replied I would send out free replacements in the unlikely event of them leaking. Again, isn't that an advantage rather than a dissadvantage?

Also, these kits or not "replicas" or "copies".... like I said in the listings these are the same brakes as most other kits on the market; Alliance, D2, XYZ, Stoptech.... so on, so on, just without the price tag. I live down the road from the factory in Taiwan, and am friends with the boss hence the price I pay is much lower than anyone else can get them for, plus I'm shipping them straight to the customer, cutting out the middle man and passing on the savings to you. So you needn't worry about me packing up and shipping off, replacement parts are readily available from a variety of sources.

In regards to crappy pads, I send out the kits with street pads, if you want race pads, I can send those out instead for an extra GBP40. Another thing I'd like to mention is that you can decide which rotor design you would like, straight slotted, curve slotted, drilled, or a combination of slotted and drilled for no extra cost. You can also pick from 5 different caliper colours.

you will that the prices are GBP50 less than my e-bay prices.

Well, I hope I haven't upset anybody and you will have a little more confidence in my kits now.

Many thanks

Dan Newton

That is a completely different situation though. They are producing a wheel that is made to mimic a Volk designed wheel.

These brakes aren't meant to be copies of Project Mu or Stoptech, just like the above statement the owner made.

This situation would fall into a category such as Dell, HP, etc. Most of the computers people buy are all manufactured in the same warehouse. Not until the very end do they receive their stamped logo to identify them.

This doesn't make the brakes inferior to Alliance. IMO if the statement is true, that these brakes are the produced in the same place as other major brands then why not use them? Just cause they don't say Stoptech on the side? Not saying I would or would not buy them but people play the name game a little too hard. I own Volks but I didn't run out and go buy the wheel just because it said Volk. I leave my options and opinions on products open. If a product performs well and is made well, I'll gladly use it.

So the guy gets the stuff straight from the factory. That's cool.

I'd rather cut the middle man out of the deal & save a couple grand buying it from this guy!

It sucks for all those people who bought these & spent the extra $1500-$2000 for the "ALLIANCE" logo. That's an expensive etch.
