Default Suspension difference between a G vs Z...

A buddy of mine bought Eibach springs for he's '03 TT-G35. Now that he blew he's motor he has no need for the springs. My question is, will these springs fit my '06 Z?

Any and all help is appriciated.

I can tell you I previously ran 350z h-techs on my g35. But you probably want to note the spring rates, g35 rates tend to be softer than those for 350z's.

they will fit. the rates are different between Z and G for stock springs. since the stock G sits a bit higher than a stock G, the eibachs in question will drop your car a bit less compared to stock.

Thanks for the reply, but im assuming you ment to say the stock G sits higher than the stock Z. So with the spring for the G wont lower my Z as much as if the springs were for a Z?

PS: I watched the vid you have on your sig and i gotta admit, AWESOME camera work!!

Spring rate is not why G and Z oem ride heights differs, spring free length and shock body/piston rod lengths determine that.

In most cases the spring rates are the same. 350Z based springs will drop the coupe or sedan more. See below.

Oem damping rates are a different matter.

FM platform variants that use 314/342 spring rates
03/04 350Z
03/07 G35 coupe (all cars without 2005 sportsuspension delivered on 17-18 inch wheels)
03/06 G35 Sedan with sport suspension

FM platform variants that use 314/427 spring rates
05/08 350Z
05/07 G35 coupe (all cars delivered on 19 inch wheels)

Oem ride height differances vs oem 350Z ride height
G35 coupe +.5"
G35 sedan +1"

So, any 350Z based spring will lower a G35 coupe an additional .5" vs the published 350Z drop and drop a G35 sedan an additional 1"

Meaning the 350Z Prokits he has should drop his coupe 1.5"/1.5"
