Default Track pads require track rotors?

If I were to get some aggressive pads like Hawk HP or Carbotech XP10s, do I need to use a separate set of rotors too? Or can I use my OEM rotors and just swap the pads during events?

Since the track pads are harder, i'm wondering if the transfer layer it leaves on the rotor would damage my daily driver ceramic pads.

Thanks!

Not required, but some people do swap pads and rotors or you can put your race pads in early and leave late to remove the existing layer. I do the latter and haven't had any issues. in addition to the link above, Stoptech says its a good idea (see FAQ 4 & 5, http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedinfaq.shtml ) to clean off as much as possible. I haven't been obsessive about it, I just drive to from the track with my race pads in (typically 60-100 miles each way) and haven't had any issues with mixed compounds.

its just one of those preference things...if you think the extra money is no big deal I would say go ahead and get a seperate set of blank rotors, otherwise you can try one of the other methods and such.
