i don't have function and form, but I do know these coils are supposed to slam your car. Is that the lowest it will go? Why don't you just drop it some more without taking out the spring mount?

Btw, I don't think taking out the spring mount will cause squeaks. A lot of the spring owners have done this mod.

They install like most other oem style coilovers where the perch takes the place of the springmount. So basically it will be upside-down in there and the bottom of the spring will fit into the indentation for the spring in the spring bucket. Assuming g35 is the same as the 350z which I'm 99% sure it is.

im confused now. I thought he was refering to the rubber spring mount in the rear, to lower the rear even more. But the comments talk about the spring bucket?? if the coils are oem style, don't take out the spring bucket/spring. If it is true coils, it will HAVE to replace the spring bucket with arms.

I don't understand what are you talking about? OEM style coilovers you remove the spring and springmount, not talking about removing the spring bucket at all. I think the OP just has the rubber springmount left in where as at least on the g35 it has to be taken out. Unless he is talking about the lower spring seat in the spring bucket, that stays. Here is a picture of how they get setup (not mine), hopefully this helps explain how things should be.

And I have f&f coils on my g and I can definitely at least set my frame on the ground.

I installed it the same way as you at first then I saw how they were supposed to be and my car instantly dropped to the floor. I'm probably close to 3/4th as high as I can be and my car is pretty dang low. Picture to show what I mean (I am a tiny bit higher than this right now)

okay i finally had time to play around with the coilovers, i dont think im suppose to removed the springmount, after doing so, the car was literally on the ground but after driving around, i can hear the coilover squeaking or moving around, it was ridiculously loud, so i decided to do the springmount mod, which dropped it the way i wanted and removed the noise, hope this helps others
